Community Engagement
Dr. Garcia-Jones is deeply committed to caring for the community. She spends many of her Thursdays working at the Brookdale Resource Center, a temporary shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness or providing free acupuncture sessions at the Macon Volunteer Clinic. She is also a proud graduate of the Leadership Macon Class of 2022.
About your practitioner
Dr. Monica Garcia-Jones holds a Doctoral degree in Acupuncture (DAc.) and a Master of Science in Acupuncture (MSAc.) from Pacific College of Health and Science, the largest acupuncture and Chinese medicine college in the United States. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc.) in both Georgia and New York, a NCCAOM® Board-Certified Acupuncturist, and a Diplomate of Acupuncture.
Her approach to East Asian medicine emphasizes uncovering the root causes of physical symptoms, while supporting overall balance and wellness. Treatments often include discussions about nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, and relaxation techniques, in addition to acupuncture and herbal therapies. Dr. Garcia-Jones believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, to promote long-term health and resilience.
Originally from San Francisco, Dr. Garcia-Jones spent 15 years in New York City before relocating to Macon, Georgia with her husband and two children.
